I am a filmmaker from Monterrey, internationally recognized for an emotional, authentic style committed to stories of personal transformation and social justice. I have directed three feature films and have been awarded at multiple film festivals in the United States, Europe, and Latin America.

My most recent film, Desde mi mirada (premiere 2026), is in post-production and presents a deeply human story from a unique perspective.
 

With Asediados (2025) we won 11 international awards, including:
* Mohy Quandour Award for Best Youth-Directed Film (SIFFA, London).
* Golden Gate International Film Festival: Best Foreign Film & Best Cinematography.
* FICCMADERO: Espíritu del Mapache Award – Best International Fiction Feature.
* The IndieFEST Film Awards: Winner – Latin/Hispanic Filmmaker.
* Cinema World Fest Awards (Los Angeles): Best Drama, Actor, Actress, Villain, and Supporting Actor.
* FICIMAD (Madrid): Best Thriller.

We also received Honourable Mentions at Brighton Rocks International Film Festival (England, 2025) and Bedford International Film Festival (Virginia, USA, 2025).
 

My debut feature El Viaje (2021) was an Official Selection at more than a dozen international festivals, including Toronto, Mexico City, Uruguay, the UK, and L.A. Femme International Film Festival, where I was also nominated for Best Feature Screenplay.
 

I have won the EFCA 4 times with my scripts:

* 2021 – Wall Strip (financial education comedy and romance)
* 2020 – Chicas vs Chicos (women’s sports & autism)

In literature, my novel Rebelión Rosa won first place in 2019 and was presented at the International Book Fair.

Lucero born in 1992. She is a director, scriptwriter and Mexican producer. She graduated from the UANL Faculty of Visual Arts as Licensed in Audio Visual Languages.

She starts producing and directing commercials for important companies such as Mary Kay, DIF, Mexicana de Aviacion, CATO, etc. Then, she worked with Martha Higareda (she hired her) in the movie 3 Idiots. Later, she worked in the TV series called Ninis, since then Lucero starts writing her own stories for movies and series.

Currently, she has written several scripts,  she sold her first script  to the Producer Luis Vizcaíno (know for Treintona, single and fantastic / Los Inquilinos / Ninis) and two other films in the development stage (consolidating investors) with her original scripts, where she will also be the Director of these two projects.

2025 Movie: Besieged as Director, Producer and Screenwriter. This script won the EFCA (Fiscal Stimulus for Artistic Creations).  Official Selection at the Golden Gate International Film Festival (California), Winner at this festival as Best Foreign Film and Best Cinematography, nominated for Best Director, Original Music, Actress and Actor, Winner at the Indie Fest Films Awards as a Latin film and Winner in the Official Selection at the CIUDAD MADERO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL and Winner in a L.A Festival, we won 5 awards in the categories: Best Drama, actor, actress, villain, support actor; selected in London Movie Festival and Winner in 2025 Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente de Madrid (FICIMAD). We just started to submitted in Festivals.

2021 Movie  “The Journey”, as Director, Producer  and Screenwriter,Official Selection at Toronto International Women Film Festival in the Best Director category; Official Selection at Ciudad Mexico Internacional Film Festival; Finalist in The Lift-Off Global Network, Pinewood Studios in United Kingdom; Toronto Multicultural Film Festival, IX International Women's Film Festival - CineFem in Uruguay and L.A Femme International Film Festival screen at the Regal Cinemas in Los Angeles, nominated in the category Best Feature Writer.

2019- Winner in a contest for the publication of her first book called “Rebelión Rosa”and presented at the International Book Fair.

July 2020: Winner of the FISCAL STIMULUS TO ARTISTIC CREATION (EFCA) with the script “Chicas vs Chicos”, the Technical Committee of Judging, made up of: Andrés Clariond Rangel, Antonio Marcelo González González and Samuel Larson Guerra, appointed and summoned by the Council for the Culture and Arts of Nuevo León, evaluated and determined the amount of support that could be applied to the fiscal stimulus (funding) of the projects participating in the discipline of cinematographic.

International Scholarship Winner "Youth of Nuevo León for the World INJUVE”. The International Organization VIVE MEXICO grant this Scholarship that financed a stay in France for international intercultural training during August in 2021, to train citizens with global awareness, human quality, internationally competitive and committed to serving others through volunteer programs.

2021 Course How to apply to the EFICINE Fund . Taught by Jimena Arguelles, Producer in films: Pura Sangre, Mujer Sin Filtro, Lo que podríamos ser, Escuela para seductores.
She has a Masterclass in History and Animation with Pixar, where they taught how to make a good script. A Master Class in Cinematographic Direction with Diego Luna and also a diploma in Cinematographic Sales and Distribution with Paramount Pictures. She was selected to assist the Writing for Film and Television Workshop of Vancouver Film School.

She has a short film as Director and Screenwriter that was officially selected at the León International Film Festival in the 2020 edition and in the official selection of the IV FILM AND MOBILITY INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION (CIMOV), screened at the opening ceremony at the Open Air Forum of the National Cinematheque.
